Public bug reported:

Enabling Desktop cube requires disabling Desktop wall. This further
prompts to close unity, since unity can't run without the 'large
desktop' feature , which is provided by one of 'desktop cube' and
'Desktop wall'. After closing unity, switching to desktop cube and
restarting it, a lot of other window features are disabled. The whole
process is tedious. It would be better if switching from Desktop wall to
Desktop Cube can be made without disabling unity.
