Public bug reported:

This crash happened during an external monitor hotplug event.  I had
unity running in a gnome-terminal (because I was tracking down a
different issue, and the Alt+F2 dialog would not let me restart unity),
unplugged the external monitor, plugged it back in, and got this.

(Usually I can plug/unplug the VGA cable without seeing compiz crashes.)
