Public bug reported:

When closing a java (swing) application window which is in maximized
state, the screen contents are not properly refreshed (that is,
background or underlying windows are not redrawn correctly): Only the
portion of the screen which would have been occupied if the java window
would have been non-maximized is redrawn correctly; the surrounding area
is not.

This problem does not appear if the window is closed in non-maximized
state.
