If I put a windows in the top left hand corner Grid hesitates between maximise the window or make it take the left half of the screen. So it chose to mix the two cases : maximise but keep the left hand side rectangle displayed.
The second time I tried to do this, the left hand side rectangle kept shown but the window (Nautilus) disappeared. There was still a triangle next to its icon, but the window denied to appear when I clicked on.
