Message #31909
[Bug 977675] [NEW] mouse pointer misaligned after dragging windows into other workspace
Public bug reported:
with Desktop Cube and Cube Rotation enabled, dragging a window off into
the next workspace makes your relative position shift.
it _seems_ to be related to where and how fast you drag your
mousepointer during the rotate-animation.
Meaning: If I slooooowly move the mouse over when the window starts to
flip over to the next workspace, the point I held on to the window and
the actual position of the mousepointer are only slightly misaligned.
Maintaining a constant (fast) speed while the cube flips over results in
the mouse pointer being on the far right after dragging a window to the
right and the window is not even there, even if I drag the mousepointer
over even further.
I don't know if it is at all related, but using the ctrl-shift-alt-
cursor combination will also not move the window to the next workspace,
but make the screen flicker and compiz will forget where it left the
window and leave it on its originating workspace.
Anyways, this is mostly about not being able to drag a window over to
the next workspace in a comfortable way. Mouse-pointer and window
position are _very_ misaligned after the rotation. I could only find
other users reporting similar bugs with windows jumping around, sticky
windows and with multiple monitors. That might be related but not my
issue.
Reporting a new bug.
