Message #33887
[Bug 996098] [NEW] Window changes workspace when placed on edge (dual monitor)
Public bug reported:
When a window is placed on a edge(top and/or bottom and/or right) of the
second monitor(right) and you change workspace with shortcut or
"workspace button"
I'm using Ubuntu 3D with the latest update with 12.04, but I think this
is a really old bug from compiz. I haven't changed any compiz
configuration and I'm on a clean install. I'm using two 1280x1024
displays, left as main.
Requirements:
-Dual monitor
-Ubuntu 12.04, Unity 3D (compiz)
Steps to reproduce:
-Shift to workspace 2 (top right)
-Crtl+alt+T to open a terminal
-Place the window at right edge of the right monitor
-Now shift to another workspace (with the switcher or crtl+alt+left)
-The window is now in another workspace (seems to be random where it is placed)
** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Tags: compiz dual monitor workspace
