I see, I'm sorry, I read this wrong (very tired, you see...)

  Whenever I launch applications, they start in the top-left corner.
  
  The behavior I expected was that it remember the last position or open
  somewhere where my attention is likely to be (i.e. somewhere more in the
  center).
