I used the workaround described in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1021104 :

 CCSM > Workarounds > Force full screen redraws (buffer swap) on repaint
= ON

Screen corruption is now gone, but the screen flickers at every refresh,
and while flickering the same screen corruption as before can be seen.
