Public bug reported:

I'm using Compiz 0.9.8.3, compiz will not start when I have the grid plugin enabled in ccsm. 
The crash occurs after compiz prints to the terminal "Starting plugin: grid". The crash is in PluginClassHandler<GridWindow, CompWindow, 0>::getInstance(CompWindow*) () from /usr/lib/compiz/libgrid.so.
