Public bug reported:

After installing the 12.10 upgrade, Virtual Box running W XP has no
connection to the network.  This is new, as the installation of 12.10
has correct access.  VBox never had the problem.  I think it may be
because of the new kernel 3.5.0-16 generic.  It is also possible, that
the VBox needs to be recompiled.  Unfortunately I do not know the
ocrrect command to do so.
