Message #42462
[Bug 1083212] [NEW] Windows keep sneaking onto the wrong workspace.
Public bug reported:
Every time I maximize or snap a window to an edge of the screen, it
seems like compiz ends up accidentally assigning it to more than one
desktop.
So, if I have the default 4 desktops and I maximize in desktop 1, the
window shows up in desktop 2 and 3 because the shadow around the edge
spills over to the other desktops.
This is annoying and it seems like compiz isn't clipping windows to the
right desktop based on the one they're maximized in. Instead, it's
calculating membership of desktop based on whether the window happens to
be rendering pixels in it.
This can create some VERY confusing situations where the desktop
experience just feels totally broken.
