[Bug 1093838] [NEW] WINE applications do not show system tray icons in the notification area

Public bug reported:

WINE applications that have system tray icons do not have any system
tray icons displayed anywhere in the Ubuntu window manager.

To replicate:

1. Download Pidgin Portable for Windows.
2. Install WINE meta-package from Ubuntu Software Store.
3. Run Pidgin Portable.
4. Close the main Pidgin window.

The application is now effectively invisible because there is no window
and you can't find the system tray icon to restore the window.

Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit using the latest version of WINE available from the
software store as of 3 days ago.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
