[Bug 1178157] Re: Compiz crashes when HDMI monitor changes power state

** Description changed:

I have a dual monitor setup with one HDMI and one DVI monitor plugged
directly into my on-board graphics card. When the HDMI monitor is
switched off manually, or by power-saving I frequently (but not always)
get a crash. This doesn't happen with the DVI monitor.

- I am using ubuntu 13.04 (fresh install) although I did copy my home directory over from 12.10.
- Compiz is at version 1:0.9.9~daily13.04.18.1~13.04-0ubuntu1.

This problem did not occur on by 11.04, 11.10, 12.04 or 12.10 setups
which had the same hardware, and same radeon driver.
+
+ It seems to happen when the (larger) HDMI monitor re-awakes more slowly
+ than the PC, causing the DVI (smaller) screen to become the primary
+ monitor briefly, before the HDMI monitor becomes the primary one - at
+ which point the crash occurs.
