Message #53523
[Bug 1425003] [NEW] compiz uses high cpu usage when seconday monitor is plugged in during logging in
Public bug reported:
This is ongoing issue that I've been having since 12.04. Now I'm on
14.04 the issue still persist.
On my netbook which runs on Intel GMA 3150 graphic video, if I log into
my account while secondary monitor plugged in, it's almost guaranteed
that compiz process will go wild and take unusually high cpu usage than
normal, rendering desktop to crawl even when doing simple thing like
hovering mouse pointer over launcher icon.
However I'm not seeing this problem if I plug the secondary monitor only
after Ive already logged into my user account.
I've been doing that as workaround to this problem though it's not very
convenience having to unplug and replug the monitor at every boot
up/reboot.
Can someone please look into this?
