Re: IRC Ruleset
Shall we say something in the rules about acceptable language in the IRC
channel?
Andrew and I just had a quick PM conversation in IRC because a few
participants were temporarily obsessed with discussing their bodily
functions, described with some very "colorful metaphor."
As I said to Andrew, I use plenty of foul language, but I'd like to
consider the IRC channel to be fairly family-friendly so I wouldn't be
embarrassed to send my sister or Mum in for help.
While it may be overkill to ask people not to use specific words, might
we say something more general like:
"This IRC channel is provided for users and developers of all ages to
discuss CrunchBang, get help, lend a hand, and chat. Please respect
others by using family-friendly language."
