While you are at that why don't you nuke
cuneiform_src/Kern/icrashreport as well.

Or is that still used / working?

license.txt states a BSD 3 Clause lecese. But the files under API_PUMA directory do not have copyright information stated in the headers/comments.

As far as I understand this is windows-target specific files. Are these files covered by the cuneform_src/Addfiles/license.txt? If yes they should have similar BSD clause in the headers.

I'm working on getting the 0.9 into debian & ubuntu. Previously this directory was excluded from the tarball as distributed by Debian source package.
