I did another review pass on this today, I have no further feedback.  Please have a look at the feedback so far, and when I see a working VM test when used with amd64+subiquity+extlinux and amd64+subiquity+grub I'll be comfortable with merging.

The subiquity integration was rather small, here are the changes I did to pull this in for test purposes.

When you get a moment please push the curtin repo tags to your copy of the curtin repo, this appears to be a requirement for testing with the snap builds.

Your team curtin developers is requested to review the proposed merge of ~sjg1/curtin:boot2 into curtin:master.
