I'm also experiencing this bug: Papers can't print any PDF file, almost
all config. options for any printer are grayed out. Accepting proposed
options and trying to print anyway will result in no print, without any
error (see attached screenshots)

Installed Evince as per suggestion in #6 but it did not solve the
problem.

Same PDF files are printed correctly by Evince.

Ubuntu 25.04 Plucky (updated from 24.04 to 24.10 to 25.05)

  Start paper on a PDF, select print > print preview > print: print-preview not responding.
  note the printer works fine if I print a text file or use as scanner
