Title:
HDMI audio is "crumbeling" then stop working

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
In this laptop (Asus TP500L) HDMI audio output was working fine while
using previous Kubuntu version. (18.04 20.04 22.04) and other older
  Linux distro too.

The problem started immediately after a Kernel update while I was
still using 22.04LTS. By loading the previous kernel at startup
everything was fine again. No subsequent kernel updates did correct
the problem. I had to load that specific one.

Soon, it was time to updated to 24.04 anyway. Hoping and expecting
that everything would be fine then, I did no even think to take note
of what was the kernel version that was working. Sorry. After a year
of updates in 24.04, HDMI audio output still not working.

I did some search. Tried some potential solutions. But cant resolve
it. It seam I'm not alone. Do we have the same audio and/or video
  interfaces??? I don't know.

I suppose you received everything you need when I reported the issue
  using the shortcut.

Than you for your great work!
