[Bug 2115642] Re: snapshot app not detecting camera as regular user, segfaults as root

 

Using the same version, I am not able to reproduce this.

nr@six:~$ apt policy gnome-snapshot
gnome-snapshot:
  Installed: 47~beta-2ubuntu2

I simply ran `snapshot` in a terminal as normal user. I was able to
record video and take photos without issue.

Maybe it's hardware specific. Can you share the output of cam --list?

  Hi,
  i ran snapshot command as regular user and it showed a black screen and a "no sensor found" message. Then i tried to ran as root and the camera appeared to work, but when switching to video i had a SEGFAULT.
