[Bug 2120536] [NEW] Mesa 25.0.7 breaks Blender on integrated Intel graphics
Public bug reported:
Update to mesa 25.0.7 seems to have broke rendered mode of viewport in
Blender integrated Intel GPU (Intel(R) Graphics (MTL) Intel 4.6 (Core
Profile) Mesa 25.0.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.1), see, e.g.,
https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/144437 . It goes
away after installing Mesa 25.2.0.
Ways to reproduce:
1) Install latest Blender
2) Click somewhere outside of the welcoming popup so that it closes.
3) Click and hold "z" and select "Rendered" or "Material preview"
4) See how Blender hangs itself and the system
I am not sure if I am supposed to report this here so that you consider
updating to 25.2.0 eventually. If not then sorry for bothering.
** Affects: mesa (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
