anyways, doing the apt-get update upgrade
and BOOM, doesn't install...

I'm sure I've got some odd package combinations,
as reworked my system a while back,
some edubuntu and lost graphical since
going to dev alpha and then doing all sorts
of stuff to try to get it back...
