[Bug 830302] [NEW] After each upgrade Firefox becomes very unstable and usually requires the profile to be deleted

Public bug reported:

Every time Firefox is upgraded it becomes unstable and hard to use.
Sometimes it freezes when it starts up and it can't be used again, and
other times it works for a bit and then freezes occasionally. Quite
annoying.

The only way to get around this is to delete my ~/.mozilla profile
directory. Although I use Sync, it's still really annoying and a total
waste of time. (since sync doesn't actually sync everything!)
