Title:
password escaping when saving changes password

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

one special case, didn't test others:
  password: \\text
  login, save, restart
login fails, password is one char short.
when adding a leading \ it's working again, so
password in password field was: \text

seems like it's escaped when saving but not escaped when loading or
there's a condition with double backslahes.
