Title:
The Log In Screen Does Not Work

Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: desktopcouch

I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 and I have a log in screen and it does
not work anymore. I will explain when I click on my name the screen
for the password does not come up. I can still type my password but I
have to press enter to get into the computer. There is a screen right
after I press enter that comes up and says that something needs to
shut down and to press cancel or log out and it comes up all the time
now and I have to log out.
