Title:
users authenticated via kerberos cannot login using gnome, only
console
Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gdm
On lucid, we have a local admin user as well as authentication setup
to a kerberos server for our lab users. The local admin has no trouble
logging in on console or through Gnome, but kerberos users can only
login to a console. When a kerberos user attempts to login via the
GUI, the authentication is accepted, but the login hangs with just a
blank background and a (working) mouse pointer.
