[Bug 836121] [NEW] appears to connect to facebook, but can't see anyone who is logged into facebook chat

Ubuntu 11.04 with Kernel 3.0.1-030001-generic on i686

Facebook chat doesn't seem to work. Empathy shows on my laptop that I am
logged in, but no one on Facebook can see me and everyone appears to be
logged out of Facebook chat in the Empathy interface.
