Title:
Hotkeys stopped working
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: hotkey-setup
In 7.10 and 8.04 the hotkeys with keycodes XF86Mail, XF86Homepage, and
XF86Launch2 were set to launch a browser, mailprogram, and some other
program. After upgrading to 8.10 (and later 9.04) they stopped
working. If I press them in order, they show up as
keycode 172 press
keycode 172 release
keycode 155 press
keycode 155 release
keycode 149 press
keycode 149 release
when logging input with the showkey command.
I wondered if they weren't properly set up, but the gnome-keybinding-
properties program recognized them when I try to bind them to the
browser and mail programs. Still nothing happens.
