Title:
  gnome-terminal does not honor x-terminal-emulator -e option

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Gnome-terminal does not honor the -e option in the same way as xterm
does. It claims it is an alternative for x-terminal-emulator so
according to the policy [1] it must honor the -e option in the same
way as it does now with the -x option.

Please don't specify to be an alternative if this is not the case,
  some programs depend on it.
