Title:
Failure to connect with IPv6 address

Status in “vinagre” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: vinagre

  Ubuntu 10.10
  vinagre 2.30.2-1ubuntu1

Program finds IPv6 host and forms IP address e.g. fe80::2c8:1::5900 by appending port number to IP address.
NOTE: IPv6 address contains double colon and so does the port number appended.

Connection fails with a message failed to connect to fe80::2 a
truncated address. This may be a display error, or the address
getting broken, I don't know. The syntax of the double colon being
used twice is worrying and would appear to be a mixing of IPv6 and
IPv4 formats, I guess vnc://[fe80::2c8:1]:5900 or similar would be a
correct IPv6 address with a single colon on the port number.
