Title:
Cifs mount - issues loading and playng files from there

Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: totem

In my LAN there's a network hard drive holding my music. The drive is
permanently mounted using /etc/fstab in a local directory. The mount
is "assigned to my user?" (uid option set to 1000).

Everything runs fine but loading files in a totem playlist is very slow:
Nautilus > music folder > album foder > select all > right click > play in (totem)
requires about 1 minute to load in playlist less than 20 files (quickly loaded the first half, than slowly the remaining files).

Seems that also buffering is sub-optimal (some "clicks" similar to LP
  noise).

  Package details (IT)
  Riproduttore multimediale Totem 2.32.0
Il riproduttore multimediale utilizza GStreamer 0.10.30
