Title:
Slow burning, cannot expell the medium and 30+ minutes to create a
(useless?) checksum
Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: brasero
I've asked brasero to burn a data DVD. 3 GB of data over a 4.4GB DVD-R medium.
It was not able to burn a 16x DVD-R medium with a 8x DVD+/-R/RW (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20L) but at 2x, while K3B on the same hardware was able to do it (before i dumped KDE for other problems).
Then, after finishing the burning, it stayed "idle" for 30+ minutes in "calculating checksum". System load was almost 0.
I cancelled this step and soon after brasero said it was not able to expel the medium.
Of course K3B is able to do so and also the "eject" command line tool can, with the very same system user permissions.
I feel all these are bugs.
