[Bug 839767] [NEW] Saved wireless networks/VPNs unavailable after Oneric upgrade

Public bug reported:

I just upgraded to Oneric (via update-manager -d), and now my saved
network passwords and vpns are no long available. I can connect to
wireless networks and re-enter passwords, and they persist (they show up
in the 'Edit Connections' dialog), but the old networks do not. I do see
the new networks in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections. What's
strange is that is see the old connections and vpns in gconf-editor
under /system/network/connections. Was there something that was supposed
to run and migrate these settings out of gconf?
