Title:
Missing native client (NaCl) plugin libppGoogleNaClPluginChrome.so
Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
1) Ubuntu quantal and precise.
2) chromium-browser 22.0.1229.94~r161065-0ubuntu1
Neither Debian, nor Ubuntu provide native client (NaCl) plugin (libppGoogleNaClPluginChrome.so) in deb package:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/chromium/filelist
http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/amd64/chromium-browser/filelist
But all other major distros do: ArchLinux, CentOS, Fedora, Mandriva, Mageia, OpenSUSE.. even unknown distro Fuduntu does:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/files/
http://pkgs.org/search/?keyword=libppGoogleNaClPluginChrome.so
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/sourceforge/f/fu/fuduntu/yum/2012/STABLE/RPMS/chromium-browser-stable-22.0.1229.94-1.x86_64.html
I know, that isn't really bug, but rather a feature and Google provides deb package for chrome, but if so many distros provide nacl plugin, is it really so hard to build it and add to chromium-browser deb???
For example, Oneiric provide it in chromium-browser 18.0.1025.168:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/amd64/chromium-browser/filelist
