[Bug 1323051] Re: Refresh problems after turning up resolution

themusicgod1, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg 1323051

Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes
button for attaching additional debugging information.

As well, given the information from the prior release is already
available, testing a release prior to the development one would not be
helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Refresh problems after turning up resolution

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Recently turned up the resolution on my 2nd monitor (IBM ThinkVision detected as 'IBM France 17"') up to 1280x1024 (5:4) counterclockwise (along with the built in monitor at 1024x600) and now both my gnome-terminal and emacs24 session seem to take turns looking like the attempt to refresh their window went bad(screenshot attached - see bottom right window, that should be a white emacs window).

Typically these come when interacting with these windows, highlighting, right clicking, etc. Resizing the windows seems to force a refresh.
