Bug description:
When attempting to use gedit's standard autocomplete functionality
(e.g. via the included "snippets" plugin), gedit crashes.
Steps to reproduce:
* Make sure you are on Ubuntu 14.10 or 15.04.
* Open gedit and enable the "snippets" plugin.
* Save a new document as "crash.py"
* In this document, type "def" and then press "Ctrl-Spacebar" which is supposed to activate the snippet autocomplete. Instead, gedit will crash.
