When attempting to use gedit's autocomplete functionality (e.g. via the
"snippets" plugin), gedit crashes.

Steps to reproduce:

* Make sure you are on Ubuntu 14.10.
* Open gedit and enable the "snippets" plugin.
* Save a new document as "crash.py" and type "def" then press "Ctrl-Spacebar" which is supposed to begin the snippet autocomplete. Instead, gedit will crash.
