Ok. Does the issue occur in http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-
live/current/ ?

It's not necessary to test this, as we've already narrowed down where
the issue is.

Also, this report is scoped to the double mouse cursor issue, not how your touchpad doesn't work. If you have an issue with your touchpad, it would help immensely if you filed a new report via a terminal:
