[Bug 538712] Re: Canon printer LBP 2900 not working - drivers installed!

Have a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CanonCaptDrv190,
normally this Canon printer requires a proprietary closed-source driver
from Canon... so therefore we cannot include it into Ubuntu.

Title:
Canon printer LBP 2900 not working - drivers installed!

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: cups

I have Canon printer LBP 2900. I installed drivers (every version
possible) and the printer doesn't work!. Ubuntu 9.10 shows that
printer is installed ok, but when I want to print something or print
test page - nothing happens. Please help. It would be very helpful if
you could include LBP 2900 drivers in to Ubuntu 10.4 so that printer
would run out of the box.

  thx
