Here is the python3 version. Note, we still build with python2 distutils
auto debhelper integration which wasn't ported to python3, but this one
isn't installed on the runtime.

  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  There is still the goal to remove Python2 from the desktop images, and
  to use Python3 only. Please convert the remaining scripts and drop the
  dependency on python.
