  Had this problem on and of for quiet some time.
  This week I for other reasons reinstalled my computer with maverick and could not install any several add'ons because of this error. It is not the first time i have this error.

  I have tried setting "network.dns.disableipv6" to "True", and also the cache size in firefoz ia default 50 Mb.
