Title:
Read receipt are sent though such were denied on request
Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: evolution
As already stated in comment #5 of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/518701:
In my account settings for all accounts it is set to ask me if I
wanted to send a read receipt.
With receiving a mail requesting a read receipt I get asked for such.
But regardless if I confirm or deny such the sender of the mail is
notified of the mail having been read.
IMHO this is quite critical as by this way a "guessed" email address can be verified!
