Title:
Battery Indicator does not work in Netbook

Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

On my Acer Aspire One AO521 I cannot get the battery indicator to work
  properly.

I am running Ubuntu 10.10 with version 2.32.0-0ubuntu1 of gnome-power-
  manager.

I expected: the indicator to show the battery status(if it is charged and how much life is left)
What happened: No indicator shows. When set to always display it shows a lightning bolt as if it is a desktop tower computer with no battery

Unplugging the power adapter does not change the icon at all.

I have also tried running the command "acpi -b" however it returns no
  output.
