Title:
Vino service advertised twice in Remote Desktop client
Status in vino package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: vino
My understanding is that Vino advertises its availability on the
network using Avahi. I'm not sure exactly in which package this
problem exists, but I see "martin's remote desktop" listed twice in
the Remote Desktop client on another system. When I mouse over, one of
them appears to be a reference by IPv4 address, the other by IPv6
address. Is there any way for Remote Desktop Viewer to recognize that
those are actually the same server, and thus should only be listed
once?
