[Bug 1460461] [NEW] Thinkpad E Series Jumpy Pointer on Tap Clicks from Touchpad
Public bug reported:
Hey,
The bug is essentially the situation when the pointer jumps on the
screen when taps are used as clicks on the touchpad, often leading to
unintended actions (a minimise becomes a maximize, etc.) It gets quite
irritating after a bit, affects other Thinkpads (also E430s) at work and
can seriously hamper productivity.
I have been affected by this bug for a couple of months now on Ubuntu 15.04 and using the modified config files as mentioned on the page linked below for a similar bug for the X Series of Thinkpads doesn't solve the issue in a tangible way but does make it a little more bearable.
Considering how long it has been since the bug was detected, could
something be done about it? I am willing to share any information that
may be required apart from the bug report attached to this request.
Cheers,
Udbhav
