Title:
  Desktop not shown on secondary screen (TV-out, separate X screen)

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce on my system:
  1) Take default Ubuntu PC with NVidia GForce GTX 470 and default nvidia driver from Ubuntu
  2) Use nvidia-settings to configure TV-out as separate X screen (:0.1)
  3) When rebooting, the TV doesn't show a desktop like in earlier Ubuntu versions but remains white.
  4) However, you can move the mouse to the TV screen (shows a black "X" pointer), then after you right-click into the screen it turns black (see attached video)

  Applications started on the separate X screen work, but for instance,
  xbmc Media Center can't switch between windows and full-screen
  automatically
