Title:
Can't set backup location
Status in deja-dup package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
The backup app is not configured on my system. I am trying to
configure it to backup to an external drive. The backup app refuses to
accept any my settings changes, such as the backup destination.
To reproduce:
1) Launch the backup app
2) Click the "just show my backup settings" button
3) Click the "Storage" tab. Note the default location is set to "Ubuntu One"
4) In the Backup Location popup, choose an external disk
4a In about one of every 3 attempts I try to choose the external disk, my selection is changed from the external disk to "Custom Location". I am 100% sure I am not accidentally choosing the custom location.
5) Once the Backup Location is set to an external disk, click the "overview" tab. Observe the Backup Location on the overview tab is not the location set in step 4.
6) Close and relaunch the backup app
7) Click the "Just show my backup settings" button
8) Click the "Storage" tab
Expected results:
The backup location should be the external disk set in step 4 above
Actual results:
The backup location reverts to its original default of Ubuntu One. I'm unable to convince deja-dup to back up to the external disk.
