Title:
Changing volume via buttons on USB headset does not update Volume
Applet 2.27.3
Status in GNOME media utilities:
Expired
Status in gnome-media package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
I'm using Logitech USB Headset that has hardware buttons for
mute/volume up/volume down.
The volume up and volume down buttons work fine, but the changes in
volume are not reflected in Gnome panel's Volume Applet 2.27.3.
I have changed the Volume Applet preferences to show the ALSA mixer
for the headset, which is what the buttons seem to be controlling. The
new notifications work just fine, and show the updated volume. Gnome
volume control also shows the correct volume, and updates the volume
as it is change via the hardware buttons.
Attaching a video of the behavior.
