Title:
workspace-switcher is undesirably 3D in compiz
Status in “libwnck” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I just upgraded my laptop from Intrepid to Jaunty roughly 24 hours
ago, and my workspace switcher is exhibiting some sort of compiz
regression: I have configured the switcher to use a 3x2 grid of
workspaces, and I have bound key combinations to move through this
space. This part works perfectly.
But the actual panel applet shows me a 6x1 row of workspaces instead,
and I only just realized that clicking on any but the first takes me
off into a nowhere-land of panelless nothing. no nautilus, just my
background image and no idea how to get back.
(Since Ctrl-Alt-Backspace is now disabled, I had to kill X from a VC)
This happened in the past when compiz was new and it was hard to get
the gnome and compiz workspaces in agreement. This is why I
characterize this as a regression.
