Title:
  the battery applet is broken, if you change the AC status

Status in “gnome-applets” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-applets

  changing from AC to battery or vice versa will make Battery Charge Monitor 2.25.91 stop working.
  it will no longer show the time to charge, and some times it just shows N/A.

  $ acpi still outputs corrctly, and so does the GPM icon.

  $ apt-cache policy gnome-applets
